Chaosbay leaves behind their status as a well-kept secret with their new concept album '2222': In just under 45 minutes spread across 12 songs, the Berlin-based progressive metalcore band takes their unmistakable interplay of unrestrained brutality and irresistibly catchy melodies to the extreme. Almost every song has the potential to be an epic stadium hit, perfectly suited for festivals. The album describes a utopia of our future world, in a sort of anti-apocalypse, from the perspective of someone who finds themselves in the year 2222. They are surprised by how many seemingly unsolvable problems from today have been overcome. In the light of this new era, many things that currently dominate our daily lives appear bizarre. The album also features three internationally renowned guest artists: 'What Is War' was created in collaboration with Mirza Radonjica from the Danish band Siamese, whom Chaosbay feels a strong connection to. The other two collaborations can be heard on the songs 'Home' (featuring Alexia Rodriguez from the US band Eyes Set To Kill) and 'Passenger' (featuring Jake Oni from the Canadian band ONI).
