Battle Scars (LP ) | The Interrupters

Violet coloured vinyl.

THE INTERRUPTERS are more than just a band, they are a family. This isn't only true in the literal sense -vocalist Aimee Interrupter is joined by guitarist Kevin Bivona's twin brothers Justin Bivona and Jesse Bivona playing bass and drums, respectively-but is also true when it comes to their extended relationships. From their early roots in the San Fernando Valley to vocalist Aimee Interrupter's emergence as one of the most exciting frontwomen in music, the band have established themselves as an alternative powerhouse. For their fifth full-length album Battle Scars, THE INTERRUPTERS reunited with longtime collaborators, with Kevin producing alongside Tim Armstrong (Rancid, Operation Ivy), enlisting the musical strengths of Brett Gurewitz (Bad Religion), as well as Jesse Michaels (Operation Ivy) and Travis Baker (Blink-182, Transplants) to create an album that solidifies THE INTERRUPTERS as one of the most exciting acts in today's alternative scene. From the anthemic "Warrior Spirit" and explosive "Wild Heart" to "Unbreakable," "Stained Glass Window" and the deeply personal "Legacy," Aimee Interrupter turns stories of survival, resilience, forgiveness and growth into songs made to be shouted back from the crowd. Recorded live to analog tape, the album captures the chemistry and intensity of a band playing together in the same room. Battle Scars is THE INTERRUPTERS at their most fearless-a celebration of perseverance, connection and the warrior spirit that keeps us moving forward.
