With their latest release, the German folk-rock institution SUBWAY TO SALLY has immortalized a virtual live experience like never before: Eisheilige Nacht: Back To Lindenpark, a pandemic-induced, extraordinary edition of the annual band and fan gathering Eisheilige Nacht, will be released on June 18, 2021. Founded in the early 90s, SUBWAY TO SALLY quickly established themselves at the top of the scene with numerous releases and captivating live performances. The seven-member band, led by charismatic singer Eric Fish, can boast an impressive discography of 13 studio albums to this day and continues to impress fans and critics with a brilliant symbiosis of folk, Heavy Metal , and rock. Over time, a tradition cherished by both artists and their fans developed, which represents an absolute highlight in the calendar at the end of the year: on December 30th, SUBWAY TO SALLY celebrated the past year with a bombastic concert evening in their hometown of Potsdam at the Lindenpark cultural center. Under the banner of Eisheilige Nacht, the quickly sold-out event evolved into its own festival Tour, followed by numerous befriended artists around SUBWAY TO SALLY. Even as the event grew, the intimate and unique atmosphere always remained. In 2020, the band faced a challenge: due to the Corona pandemic, Eisheilige Nacht could not take place as usual. So, the German folk-rock troupe decided to create an unforgettable but unique lockdown live event to bridge the time until SUBWAY TO SALLY can finally spread their magic on real stages again. With Eisheilige Nacht: Back To Lindenpark, SUBWAY TO SALLY returns to their roots and, together with many great artists such as Chris Harms (Lord Of The Lost), Joachim Witt, Feuerschwanz, Schandmaul, Saltatio Mortis, Major Voice, and Patty Gurdy, creates an extraordinary live experience captured for eternity. Recorded in an intimate atmosphere, the recording begins with 'Messias' and 'Königin der Käfer' from the current chart topper 'Hey!' (DE #5). Afterwards, SUBWAY TO SALLY travel not only through their own discography with songs like the eerie 'Unsterblich,' the energetic 'Tanz auf dem Vulkan,' and the live sensation 'Grausame Schwester,' but also have a bunch of enchanting surprise guests and their hits in tow: For example, the highly talented members of Schandmaul, Birgit Muggenthaler-Schmack and Saskia Forkert, present the Schandmaul ballad 'Dein Anblick' together with SUBWAY TO SALLY, as well as a version of 'Kleid aus Rosen' that has never been heard before. A little later, supported by the medieval rockers Saltatio Mortis, the band sets the extraordinary setting ablaze with an explosive performance of their song 'Sie Tanzt allein' - just to name a few highlights from many.
