Wacken Open Air 2013 oli todella kuuma tapahtuma: loistavia bändejä seitsemällä eri lavalla, 75 000 fania - ja loputonta auringonpaistetta. Metallimusiikin ystävät saapuivat lukuisista eri maista planeettamme legendaarisimmille metallifestareille, jotka muuttavat Pohjois-Saksassa sijaitsevan Wackenin pikkukaupungin metallimusiikin Mekaksi joka vuosi.
”Live at Wacken 2013” -boksin kolmella DVD-levyllä nähdään ja kuullaan mm. mestaria nimeltä Alice Cooper, Nightwishin huikea keikka bändin uuden solistin, Floor Jansenin, kanssa, Doron uskomaton 30-vuotisjuhlakeikka sekä iltapäivän paahteessa yleisön hurmioon laulattaneen Sabatonin show. Vaikka Motörhead lyhensikin keikan pituutta hieman yli 30 asteen helteen vuoksi, niin bändi ehti vetää täysillä lukuisia hittejään, kuten Damage Case, Metropolis ja Over The Top. Myös Deep Purple lunasti kaikki metallimusiikin fanien odotukset - hardrockin esi-isät hurmasivat yleisön ensimmäisellä Wackenin keikallaan soittamalla monia huippusuosittuja biisejään, kuten Lazy.
