Ritual (CD ) | Edge Of Forever

Since the reunion of Edge Of Forever in 2019, they have returned with two strong albums: 'Native Soul' and the critically acclaimed 'Seminole' (2022). The new lineup consists of Aldo Lonobile (Secret Sphere, Sweet Oblivion) on guitar, Nik Mazzucconi (Labyrinth, Sunstorm) on bass, Marco Di Salvia (Hardline) on drums, and of course, singer, keyboardist, and founder Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Jorn, Revolution Saints). The new musical direction with heavier guitars, epic choruses, and intricate arrangements has opened up the band to a larger audience and expanded their spectrum from being simply a hard rock band. The profound lyrics are infused with a positive mental attitude and stoicism, all connected to the spiritual culture of Native Americans.

'Ritual' addresses the tragedy of Residential Schools. It tells the story of the last two Native Americans who speak a language that will soon be forgotten. The twins, a boy and a girl, were sent to two different Residential Schools and were told that there was no one left from their nation and that they had to forget everything they could remember. The album tells a story of pride, strength, pain, but also ultimate joy and fulfillment in being who one truly and deeply is. 'Ritual' brings strong progressive elements, intricate arrangements, and layered vocals to the forefront of the eponymous 21-minute suite. Edge Of Forever introduces new elements where melody, power, depth, and intensity come together in an album that makes Edge Of Forever unique in the hard rock scene.
