Tuotteen kuvaus
Metallica ei ole koskaan kaihtanut kokeiluja. Yhtyeen yhdeksäs albumi "S & M" äänitettiin kahdessa Berkeleyn- konsertissa San Franciscon sinfoniaorkesterin kanssa. Metallica ei rajoittanut menoaan vain balladeihin, vaan otti käsittelyyn myös rankempia biisejä, kuten "Hero of the Day" ja "Master of Puppets". Sanaleikki "S & M" viittaa myös sadomasokismiin, mutta tulee tässä yhteydessä sanoista "Symphony & Metallica". Yhteys näkyy myös levyn kannessa, jossa S-kirjaimena on peilikuvaksi käännetty nuottiavain ja M-kirjain on napattu Metallican logosta.
