Both Dream Unending and Worm concluded the year for 20 Buck Spin in 2021 and 2022, respectively. In 2023, the two doomed titans will now come together on an outstanding release of cosmic duality, 'Starpath,' to complete the end-of-year hat-trick.

Having released one masterpiece after another in the past two years, both bands have become inseparable in the minds of fans. And although they couldn't be more musically different, they share many common foundations. And so, Dream Unending and Worm once again conclude the 20 Buck Spin release schedule for the year, this time together.

Dream Unending's latest tracks, 'So Many Chances' and 'If Not Now When,' logically continue the goth/post-punk elements present in their previous releases, building upon extended guitar passages, thoughtful heavy riffs, and Justin DeTore's thunderous growls. Phil Swanson, who appeared as a guest vocalist on 'Song of Salvation,' returns here. These two extended pieces represent the most refined incarnation of where Derrick Vella and Justin DeTore are steering the ship.

Worm, as they are now called, remain an ever-shifting entity of pure, virtuosic blackness. 'Ravensblood' offers vampiric black metal with icy keyboards and eerie cemetery melodies. The hauntingly atmospheric 'Midwinter Tears' evokes a snow-covered Gothic mood, while the closing track 'Sea of Sorrow' expresses the necromantic shredding of lead guitarist Wroth Septentrion over Phantom Slaughter's idiosyncratic black doom and undyingly haunting necromancy.

Two bands, two unique approaches, a profound spectrum of radiant, passionate creation to the abyssal darkness of oblivion. Dream Unending and Worm each present over 20 minutes of new music specifically created for the joint release of 'Starpath'.
