20. huhtikuuta 1992 järjestettiin yksi musiikkihistorian suurimmista rocktapahtumista Lontoossa Wembley Stadiumilla. Queen jätti hyvästit AIDSiin menehtyneelle laulajalleen Freddie Mercurylle lukuisien kuuluisien vieraiden ja upean shown kanssa.

The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert sisältää tapahtuman toisen, 105-minuuttisen osan. Queenin jäljelle jääneet jäsenet Brian May, John Deacon ja Roger Taylor esittivät lukuisia hittejään eri tyylilajien muusikkojen kanssa. Mukana on uskomattomia esityksiä muun muassa The Whon laulajalta Roger Daltreylta Black Sabbathin kitaristilta Tony Iommilta ("I Want It All"), Led Zeppelin -legenda Robert Plantilta ("Crazy Little Thing Called Love"), Def Leppardin keulamieheltä Joe Elliottilta ja Guns N'Rosesin kitaristi Slashilta ("Tie Your Mother Down"), Metallican solisti James Hetfieldilta ja Tony Iommilta ("Stone Cold Crazy") sekä Lisa Stansfieldilta ("I Want To Break Free"). Myös herkemmät esitykset todella vakuuttavat, kuten Paul Young ("Radio Ga Ga"), David Bowie ja Eurythmicsin laulaja Annie Lennox ("Under Pressure"), Elton John ("Bohemian Rhapsody", "The Show Must Go On") ja aivan erityinen George Michael ("'39", "These Are The Days Of Our Life", "Somebody To Love"). Vaikuttavimmat hetket tarjoili Brian May soolollaan esittäessään koskettavan jäähyväiskappaleen "Too Much Love Will Kill You".
